Terms of Use

These terms apply to the use of the Pockytap app (web, iOS, Android) and the website pockytap.com, provided by iOLABS ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What Pockytap is

Pockytap is a personal tool for recording expenses, income and wallets. You enter the data manually. The app does not connect to banks, does not execute payments or money transfers, and does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Reports and insights are simple calculations over the data you have entered.

2. Account

• You can use the app without an account, on your device only. Syncing across devices requires an account with email and password.
• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and let us know.
• An account belongs to one natural person. Do not share it.

3. Free trial and Pro lifetime

• Every new user gets a 14-day free trial with all features unlocked. No card is required and there is no automatic charge when the trial ends.
• After the trial, the app keeps working with basic functionality. For full functionality you can buy Pro lifetime for €19.99 (current price, VAT included).
• Pro lifetime is a single one-time purchase. It is not a subscription, it does not renew and you are never charged again. It unlocks your account on all platforms (web, iOS, Android).
• "Lifetime" means for as long as Pockytap is provided as a service (see section 8). The Pro plan in this form does not include future add-on services that may be offered separately (e.g. AI receipt scanning); we will clearly label those as separate before making them available.
• The price may change for new purchases. A price change never affects those who have already bought.

4. Payments and refunds

• Purchases inside the iOS and Android apps are made through the Apple App Store and Google Play respectively, under their own terms. Refund requests for those purchases are submitted to Apple or Google under their policies.
• Purchases from the browser are made through a third-party payment provider. We do not store card details.
• For web purchases: as a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Because Pro unlocks digital content immediately, at purchase we ask for your express consent to start delivery before that period ends. Even so, if something goes wrong in the first 14 days, write to dervos@iolabs.gr and we will sort it out, usually with a refund.

5. Your data

• Whatever you enter in the app is yours. You only grant us permission to store and sync it in order to provide the service.
• You can export your data as CSV and delete your account from inside the app at any time.
• How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
• The app is offline-first: a copy of your data lives on your device. We recommend keeping an account or regular exports as a backup. We cannot recover data that existed only on a device that was lost or wiped.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights,
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to other people's accounts, servers or data,
• decompile, copy or resell the app or parts of it,
• deliberately overload or interfere with the service (e.g. automated sync requests).

7. Intellectual property

The app, its code, the logo, the name "Pockytap" and the design assets belong to iOLABS. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own, non-commercial purposes under these terms. Third-party names (e.g. Money Lover, Apple, Google) belong to their owners and are mentioned only for compatibility purposes.

8. Availability and changes

• We aim to keep the sync service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. There may be outages for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. The app keeps working offline on your device.
• We may add, change or remove features. We will not remove core Pro features without a comparable alternative.
• If we ever have to shut down the sync service, we will notify you at least 90 days in advance so you can export your data. The app on your device will keep working offline.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or loss of data arising from the use of or inability to use the app, nor for decisions you make based on its reports. Our total liability towards you is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, after notifying you first, unless there is serious abuse. In every case you will be able to export your data.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law and the law of the European Union. The courts at the seat of iOLABS have jurisdiction, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. For out-of-court resolution you may use the EU ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). We may update these terms; for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
